SEIU Can't Sink Rival's Suit With SLAPP Law: Appeals Court

Law360, New York (June 3, 2013, 6:48 PM EDT) -- A lawsuit brought by the National Union of Healthcare Workers president against rival union SEIU shouldn't have been dismissed under California's anti-SLAPP statute because the alleged assaults and intimidation at the heart of the complaint weren't constitutionally protected conduct, a California appeals court ruled Friday.
