SEC Head White Taps Deutsche Bank Exec As Chief Counsel

Law360, New York (June 3, 2013, 3:03 PM EDT) -- New U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Jo White has named Deutsche Bank AG official and former McDermott Will & Emery LLP partner Robert E. Rice as her chief counsel, the agency said Monday.

Rice, 57, served as head of governance, litigation and regulation for Deutsche Bank's Americas unit and global co-head of the firm's governance, litigation and regulation operating committee. As chief counsel, he will serve as White's top legal deputy on a wide array of regulatory issues.
