JPMorgan Infringed Cybersecurity Patents, Suit Says

Law360, New York (June 4, 2013, 9:10 PM EDT) -- JPMorgan Chase & Co. was hit with a suit on Tuesday in New York federal court alleging the company infringed patents for a firewall system and other online information safeguards owned by the patent holding company Intellectual Ventures II LLC.

The complaint accuses JPMorgan Chase & Co., JPMorgan Chase Bank and Chase Bank USA of infringing five patents covering cybersecurity systems and features that the companies allegedly incorporated into the online banking systems they offer customers and the payment-processing systems they provide to businesses.
