John Edwards Plans To Open NC Plaintiffs Firm

Law360, New York (June 5, 2013, 6:03 PM EDT) -- Former U.S. Sen. John Edwards is reportedly looking to open a law firm in his home state of North Carolina, nearly a year after the U.S. Department of Justice dropped its criminal prosecution of the failed Democratic presidential candidate.

Edwards is planing a September opening for the Raleigh, N.C.-based firm, which will focus on plaintiffs work, CNN reported Wednesday.

Prior to his political career, Edwards gained national recognition as a plaintiffs attorney, attaining multimillion-dollar victories for clients in medical malpractice and product liability suits.
