EEOC Sues Dollar General, BMW Over Criminal Screens

Law360, New York (June 11, 2013, 3:43 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission hit Dollar General and BMW Manufacturing Co. LLC with separate lawsuits on Tuesday, claiming that the companies' use of criminal background checks had disproportionately screened out black job applicants. 

The agency lodged its lawsuit against Dollar General in Illinois federal court and its suit against BMW in South Carolina federal court.
