2nd Circ. Flips Marvel Win In 'Ghost Rider' Copyright Suit

Law360, New York (June 11, 2013, 7:56 PM EDT) -- The Second Circuit on Tuesday ruled that the comic book artist who created the popular “Ghost Rider” character can bring a lawsuit against Marvel Enterprises Inc. over its ownership, reversing a win for the comics giant.

The appeals court said a trial judge made a mistake when she ruled that Marvel owned the character without conducting a trial.
