AIA Patent Challengers Can't Add Parties, USPTO Rules

Law360, New York (June 11, 2013, 6:37 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ruled last week that additional parties cannot join an America Invents Act challenge to a patent unless they file separate petitions, rejecting U.S. Bancorp's bid to add two companies to its challenge of a business method patent.
