Bill To Boost Natural Gas Access Clears Pa. Senate

Law360, Philadelphia (June 13, 2013, 6:11 PM EDT) -- With broad bipartisan support, the Pennsylvania Senate on Wednesday approved a pair of bills designed to increase the availability of state-sourced natural gas in remote and rural area typically underserved by gas utilities.

Despite a smattering of opposition from Democrats, the Senate signed off on Republican-backed measures intended to help extend and expand natural gas distribution systems and infrastructure to residential, commercial and industrial entities through long-range planning initiatives and $20 million worth of loans.
