L'Oreal Exits ITC Probe Into Packaging Patents

Law360, New York (June 14, 2013, 2:47 PM EDT) -- L'Oreal USA Inc. on Tuesday exited a U.S. International Trade Commission investigation over whether a slew of retailers have infringed a Texas-based company's patents by using laminated packaging for their products.

Administrative Law Judge Theodore R. Essex granted a motion terminating the investigation as it pertains to L'Oreal in light of the company's settlement agreement with Lamina Packaging Innovations LLC, which petitioned the ITC for the investigation. Terms of the settlement between L'Oreal and Lamina are confidential.
