Pa. High Court To Hear Duane Morris Malpractice Suit

Law360, Philadelphia (June 14, 2013, 2:09 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court announced Thursday that it would hear Duane Morris LLP’s appeal in a $2.5 million legal malpractice case that turns on whether case law limiting damages stemming from criminal litigation also applies to civil litigation.

The high court will review a 2012 Superior Court decision that plaintiffs are entitled to pursue damages against the firm for breach of contract because legal precedent limiting such malpractice claims does not apply to civil suits.
