Army Cancels $1.8B Contract For New Carbines

Law360, New York (June 14, 2013, 7:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Army on Thursday said it has canceled a $1.8 billion contract for a new carbine that would replace the M4 rifle, saying none of the six rifles offered was enough of an improvement to justify the cost.
