Cooley Poaches Morgan Lewis Biotech Bigwigs

Law360, New York (November 16, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Cooley Godward has hired the Washington-based duo that co-chaired Morgan Lewis’ life-sciences intellectual property group, just days after McDermott Will & Emery raided a large group of life-sciences litigators at Morgan Lewis’ New York office.

Michael S. Tuscan and Erich E. Veitenheimer III joined Cooley’s DC office as partners in the firm’s intellectual property group, focusing on patent-related matters for life science and biotechnology companies, the firm said. The two were partners and co-chairs in the life sciences intellectual property group at Morgan Lewis.
