Boehner Sets Potential Roadblock For Immigration Reform

Law360, New York (June 18, 2013, 6:56 PM ET) -- House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said Tuesday that he would not bring an immigration reform package up for a vote unless it had the support of a majority of Republicans, setting a potentially high hurdle for any proposed legislation. 

With the Senate considering amendments to a bipartisan immigration reform bill, Boehner said at a press conference following a closed door meeting with House Republicans that he would not bring a bill to the floor that was not favored by the majority of representatives from his party.  ...
