Sprint Nextel Asserts VOP Patents Against Four Cos.

Law360, New York (January 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Sprint Nextel Corp. has fired off separate lawsuits against four mobile service providers for allegedly infringing patents that allow users to make phone calls over the Internet.

The wireless telecommunications firm lodged the suits Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas against Big River Telephone Co., Broadvox Holdings LLC, NuVox Communications Inc. and Paetec Communications Inc.
