$100M Quest Sex Bias Suit Sent To Arbitration By Judge

Law360, New York (June 19, 2013, 3:53 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey federal judge ruled Monday that a trio of women who lodged a putative $100 million class action accusing their employer Quest Diagnostics Inc. of discriminating against female sales representatives must pursue their claims in arbitration. 

Granting the company's motion to compel arbitration, U.S. District Judge Kevin McNulty held that the named plaintiffs in the case — Erin Beery, Heather Traeger and Sandy Cooper — must arbitrate their claims because they signed employment agreements requiring the arbitration of all disputes arising from their employment....
