Lawmakers Call For Stem Cell Research Backing At NIH

Law360, Washington (June 20, 2013, 1:37 PM EDT) -- A bipartisan duo of House congressmen introduced a bill Wednesday that supports embryonic stem cell research at the National Institutes of Health, but requires those programs to have certain ethical standards for federal support.

Reps. Diana DeGette, D-Colo., and Charlie Dent, R-Pa., claimed the Stem Cell Research Advancement Act would provide stability to stem cell researchers by creating basic policies under which NIH could fund their efforts.
