Dell Exits Sprawling Flash-Memory Patent Case

Law360, New York (June 20, 2013, 4:26 PM ET) -- A judge at the U.S. International Trade Commission signed off on a settlement Thursday dismissing Dell Inc. from a patent infringement investigation over Technology Properties Ltd. LLC's flash memory technology that has ensnared more than a dozen other prominent tech companies.

The companies have also filed a notice of voluntary dismissal in parallel litigation in Texas federal court. Combined, the two settlements will allow Dell an early exit from the sprawling litigation against it and a slew of companies including Canon Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co....
