Amazon Accused Of Infringing Content Delivery Network IP

Law360, New York (June 24, 2013, 4:38 PM EDT) -- Patent-holding company Elia Data of Texas LLC lodged its latest infringement lawsuit in Texas federal court Friday claiming Inc.'s so-called content delivery network infringes a patent for data transmission.

Elia, which has filed cases Microsoft Corp., International Business Machines Corp. and Apple Inc. over the past 18 months, claims Amazon's CloudFront-brand content delivery network is infringing Elia's U.S. Patent Number 7,113,996.
