Facebook Bug Exposes Contact Info Of 6 Million Users

Law360, New York (June 22, 2013, 10:25 PM EDT) -- Facebook Inc. said on Friday that a security flaw exposed the email addresses and telephone numbers of six million users to connections who did not have permission to view the information.

In a blog post, Facebook’s security team said the flaw allowed users who downloaded an archive of their account to obtain unauthorized access to the contact information for their contacts or “people with whom they have had some connection.”
