Fraud Law Applies In Rent Charging Row: NJ Appeals Court

Law360, New York (June 25, 2013, 4:31 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey appellate panel ruled Tuesday that a landlord can be sued for rental overcharges under the state's Consumer Fraud Act, dismissing an appeal from landlords who said the act didn't apply to them, in part because they operated based on advice of counsel.
