Insurers Push NJ High Court For Toilet Products Mass Tort

Law360, New York (June 26, 2013, 6:21 PM EDT) -- Insurance companies in nine lawsuits targeting plumbing product manufacturers and distributors over property damage allegedly caused by faulty DuraPro toilet water supply lines have asked the New Jersey Supreme Court to consolidate the actions into a mass tort litigation.

Their application was cited June 18 in a notice on the high court's website that invites comment on a potential centralization of the lawsuits, which name manufacturers and distributors like Interline Brands Inc., Linx Ltd. and Watts Water Technologies Inc.
