Demand For Higher-End Dorms Fuels Student Housing Boom

Law360, New York (June 27, 2013, 6:55 PM EDT) -- Private student housing developers are seeing opportunities increase around the country as the undergraduate population continues to grow steadily and students demand more amenities, experts say.

Though college students today may not have any more money to spend on housing than their predecessors did, a slow shift from dorm living to on- or off-campus apartment living with bountiful amenities has made the latter an expected norm for many upperclassmen, according to several attorneys who advise student housing developers and their investors.
