Ill. Court Wipes Out Part Of Honeywell's Asbestos Suit Win

Law360, New York (June 28, 2013, 5:45 PM EDT) -- Finding a jury's verdict “indecipherable,” an Illinois appeals court ordered a new trial Wednesday on a former firefighter's unsuccessful claim that Honeywell International Inc. knew asbestos caused mesothelioma but failed to warn consumers.

A three-judge panel determined that a lower court should conduct a new trial on plaintiff Larry Dunham's negligence claim against Honeywell, though not on his civil conspiracy claim.
