HP Wins $3.5B Next-Generation IT Contract With US Navy

Law360, New York (June 28, 2013, 3:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Navy on Thursday said it has awarded a Hewlett-Packard Co. unit a contract worth nearly $3.5 billion for its next-generation information technology network.

The firm-fixed-price award fee contract for the Next Generation Enterprise Network went to HP Enterprise Services, with an initial award of $321.7 million. The contract includes four one-year options that, if exercised, increase the award to almost $3.5 billion and would see HP working on the project through June 2018, according to the Navy.
