Pa. Legislature OKs Fracking Royalty Transparency Bill

Law360, Philadelphia (July 1, 2013, 3:16 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania General Assembly on Sunday passed legislation obligating natural gas companies operating in the state to standardize all deductions listed on royalty check payment stubs, paving the way for a likely signature from Gov. Tom Corbett.

Senate Bill 259 would force companies producing natural gas to provide a detailed itemization of all deductions from royalties paid to a leaseholder on each royalty check stub, attachment to a payment form or other record of payment.
