Toshiba Hit With Patent Suit Over Face-Recognition Software

Law360, New York (July 03, 2013, 8:14 PM ET) -- A patent-holding company hit Toshiba America Inc. with an electronics security patent infringement suit in Delaware federal court Tuesday over facial-recognition software used in its Qosmio line of laptops.

CeeColor Industries LLC accuses Toshiba of infringing a pair of patents it holds for a proximity sensing system that acknowledges activity within the vicinity of an electronic device.
