Bayer Inks Deal With Cipro Buyers In Pay-For-Delay Suit

Law360, New York (July 03, 2013, 5:07 PM ET) -- California consumers suing several drugmakers over $398 million in alleged pay-for-delay patent deals have reached a settlement with Bayer Corp. and asked the state's highest court on July 1 to put their appeal to revive the antitrust class action on hold.

Though the terms of the deal remain confidential, the settlement was reached in early June and would resolve Bayer's portion of the litigation challenging Hatch-Waxman Act settlements over the patents for its Cipro antibiotic, according to the plaintiffs' motion to stay the appeal.
