Injunction Against Qualcomm Stands

Law360, New York (January 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has denied Qualcomm Inc.'s motion to stay his permanent injunction against importing and selling certain chips and devices that infringe three Broadcom Corp. patents, a Broadcom representative said Tuesday.

Qualcomm asked Judge James V. Selna of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Jan. 7 to stay his injunction, imposed on Dec. 31, 2007, pending an appeal. Qualcomm also vowed to appeal the interlocutory injunction.
