Syntellect Asks 9th Circ. To Toss $5M Contract Judgment

Law360, Los Angeles (July 9, 2013, 3:15 PM EDT) -- Syntellect Inc. urged the Ninth Circuit on Tuesday to toss a $4.7 million judgment against it for failing to indemnify Southern California Gas Co. in a patent infringement suit over telecom equipment Syntellect sold to the utility, arguing a lower court interpreted its contractual obligations too broadly.
