Wynn Unscathed After SEC Probe Into $135M Macau Donation

Law360, Chicago (July 9, 2013, 1:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has dropped its investigation of Wynn Resorts Ltd.’s $135 million donation to the University of Macau, which a former board member said was a bribe to help casino expansion plans, the company said in a Monday securities filing.

The global casino operator received a letter July 2 from the SEC’s Salt Lake City Regional Office saying that the investigation had wrapped up “with the office not intending to recommend any enforcement action against the company by the SEC,” according to...
