Citrix, Logitech Sued Over Web Conferencing Patents

Law360, New York (July 9, 2013, 7:50 PM EDT) -- Patent-assertion entity CopyTele Inc. said Tuesday it had filed infringement suits against Citrix Systems Inc. and Logitech International in New York federal court, claiming the companies’ popular Web conferencing services ripped off two of its patents.

According to CopyTele, the suits said Citrix’s widely used GoToMeeting and Logitech’s recently acquired LifeSize service infringe the Melville, N.Y.-based company’s two patents for digital encryption.
