US Seeks To Block Bernanke Deposition In Starr's AIG Suit

Law360, New York (July 9, 2013, 2:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. government on Monday asked a federal court to bar Starr International Co. Inc. from deposing Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke in its $55.5 billion lawsuit over the bailout of American International Group Inc., saying it could not show that "extraordinary circumstances" justified compelling the deposition.
