Asian PE Fundraising Tumbles In First Half, Report Says

Law360, New York (July 10, 2013, 1:38 PM EDT) -- Private equity fundraising in Asia has plummeted in the first half of 2013 on fears about an economic slowdown in China and a sluggish market for initial public offerings, according to a report released Wednesday by industry database LP Source.

PE firms raised just $15 billion in Asia over the first six months of 2013, according to LP Source, which is owned by Dow Jones & Co. Fundraising totaled $53 billion in 2012, and the Asian market will struggle to meet that number if firms continue...
