Ethiopia Says It Will Join WTO In 2015

Law360, New York (July 10, 2013, 3:46 PM EDT) -- Ethiopia said Wednesday that it plans to join the World Trade Organization in 2015, as the African country continues its push to make government regulation of its domestic markets more transparent.

Ethiopia is one of 34 nations currently seeking to become fully fledged members of the global trading body. The U.S. has publicly backed the Ethiopia's long-standing bid to join the WTO, but also urged the country to continue liberalizing its economy.
