Fined By EU, Glass Cos. Face U.S. Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (January 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The world's biggest glass manufacturers have been hit with an antitrust class action in federal court, alleging the multibillion-dollar automobile glass industry is controlled by an international price-fixing cartel.

The U.S. lawsuit comes just two months after the European Commission fined the same group a combined €487 million for allegedly colluding to set glass prices in Europe.
