Sen. Wants New Rules, Technology To Fight Illegal Robocalls

Law360, New York (July 10, 2013, 10:25 PM ET) -- Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., on Wednesday pushed to give federal regulators new powers to curb illegal robocalls and called on the industry to develop technology to combat the practice, saying during a subcommittee hearing that the current framework was insufficient to deter scammers.
