Appraisals Not Under Arbitration Code: Fla. Appeals Court

Law360, New York (July 10, 2013, 5:57 PM ET) -- A Florida appeals court on Wednesday said a lower court shouldn't have used Florida's arbitration code to confirm a $1 million insurance claim award a condominium association received against Citizens Property Insurance Corp. for hurricane-related damage because the code doesn't apply to appraisal awards.
