EU High Court Reinstates Moving Services Cartel Fine

Law360, New York (July 11, 2013, 3:44 PM EDT) -- The European Union's highest court on Thursday upheld €15 million ($19.7 million) in cartel fines against several international moving and logistics companies and reinstated a €270,000 penalty against the parent of one of the defendants.

The European Court of Justice nixed appeals from Gosselin Group NV, Ziegler SA, Team Relocations NV and several related companies trying to overturn their 2008 fines from the European Commission for their alleged roles in a long-running plot to fix rates for international moving services in Belgium.
