NJ High Court Won't Disturb DEP Ruling On Sewer Overflow

Law360, New York (July 12, 2013, 6:48 PM EDT) -- The New Jersey Supreme Court has declined to hear a challenge to the state Department of Environmental Protection’s rejection of environmental groups' attempt to block municipalities from discharging sanitary wastewater and stormwater into rivers and streams, according to an order made available Friday.

The state’s high court issued a one-page order denying a petition for certification filed by New York/New Jersey Baykeeper, Hackensack Riverkeeper and Raritan Riverkeeper challenging an appeals court’s March decision backing the DEP.
