$1B Deal On Zyprexa Still May Not End Lilly's Woes

Law360, New York (January 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Even if Eli Lilly and Co. agrees to a $1 billion settlement to rid itself of federal and state investigations into the handling of anti-psychotic drug Zyprexa, it will still be in the crosshairs of plaintiffs' attorneys.

Lilly has been in negotiations to settle the inquiries for several months, The New York Times reported Thursday.

An upcoming trial in Alaska has created urgency regarding the cases, the report said.
