USPTO Nixes Post-Bombing 'Boston Strong' Trademark Bids

Law360, New York (July 15, 2013, 6:13 PM ET) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Friday rejected four requests to register the phrase "Boston Strong" as a trademark, finding that the phrase offering support for victims of the April terrorist bombing does not function as a trademark.
