Book Distributor Settles EEOC Suit Over Severance Deals

Law360, New York (July 15, 2013, 6:20 PM ET) -- A book distributor has agreed to settle the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's lawsuit accusing it of forcing employees to sign unlawfully broad and unenforceable releases in order to be eligible for severance pay, the agency announced Thursday.
