Union Pacific's Suit Against AIG, Argo Derailed For Now

Law360, New York (July 15, 2013, 4:29 PM ET) -- A Nebraska federal judge on Friday halted Union Pacific Railroad Co.'s lawsuit seeking coverage under a contractor's policies with American International Group Inc. and Argo Group for a wrongful death settlement following a train crash, giving priority to a rival, insurer-filed Pennsylvania suit.

Dealing a blow to Union Pacific, U.S. District Judge Laurie Smith Camp decided to stay proceedings in Nebraska until the Pennsylvania federal court decides whether to dismiss the related suit.
