Rocket Engine Co. Jets Out Of Age Bias Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (July 15, 2013, 10:07 PM EDT) -- A NASA space shuttle rocket engine manufacturer escaped an age discrimination suit in California state court Monday, when a jury decided there was no evidence of age discrimination in the firing of a 76-year-old engineer.

The jury voted 10 to 2 in favor of Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne Inc. on a special verdict question asking if there was any evidence of age discrimination in the firing of Richard Gulden in December 2010, according to attorneys for the company and its former employee.
