US Air, American Offer EU Concessions In $11B Merger Plan

Law360, New York (July 17, 2013, 2:11 PM ET) -- US Airways Group Inc. and AMR Corp.'s American Airlines Inc. have offered a set of concessions to the European Union's competition authority as part of an effort to secure clearance for their $11 billion merger plan, the EU said Wednesday.

With the offer of commitments, the European Commission's deadline to review the proposed tie-up between US Airways and American would be pushed back to August 6, according to a notice posted on the commission's website.
