WaPo Owner Lands Boiler Co. Amid Diversification Push

Law360, New York (July 18, 2013, 12:25 PM ET) -- The Washington Post Co. will pick up industrial boiler company Forney Corp., it said Thursday, giving momentum to a quiet diversification push meant to add more cash-generating units to compensate for its stagnating flagship print business.

Neither company disclosed the deal's financial terms, saying only that they expect to close out the transaction in early August. The Post Co. did not say how it would cover its purchase.
