LSI, Seagate Can't Dodge Circuit Chip Import Suit At ITC

Law360, Chicago (July 18, 2013, 1:54 PM EDT) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission administrative law judge on Wednesday rejected a bid for summary determination by LSI Corp. and Seagate Technology LLC that Realtek Semiconductor Corp., which has accused them of importing integrated circuit chips that infringe its intellectual property, lacks a domestic industry for the patent at issue.

In a one-page order, Chief Administrative Law Judge Charles E. Bullock wrote that a summary determination regarding the existence of a domestic industry for U.S. Patent Number 6,787,928 was not appropriate and denied the respondents motion....
