$9M Verdict Illegally Expanded FCA's Reach, 7th Circ. Told

Law360, Washington (July 23, 2013, 2:09 PM EDT) -- An Illinois nursing home urged the Seventh Circuit on Friday to throw out a $9 million False Claims Act judgment against it, saying the court “radically expanded” the FCA's reach in a way that could threaten the health care industry with frivolous whistleblower lawsuits.
