NY, Feds Working On $1.5B Loan For Tappan Zee Project

Law360, New York (July 24, 2013, 4:26 PM EDT) -- The New York State Thruway Authority and U.S. Department of Transportation are closing in on a $1.5 billion federal loan for the Tappan Zee Bridge replacement project, a spokesman for the New York State Thruway Authority told Law360 Wednesday.

The confirmation came after a U.S. Senate hearing earlier Wednesday on enhancements to the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) loan program, which provides partial funding for infrastructure projects such as the Tappan Zee Bridge replacement.
