Jury Nixes $40M Meal Break Suit By Fla. Sheriff's Deputies

Law360, Miami (July 25, 2013, 7:47 PM ET) -- A jury in Florida state court reached a verdict late Wednesday in favor of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office in a class action brought by detention deputies who claimed they should have been paid during meal breaks, rejecting claims that could have resulted in damages of up to $40 million.
